Visit Alexandria for History and Culture
Known for its architecture, boutiques, history and arts scene, Alexandria, Virginia is a great stop on your trip to DC. Visit Old Town for a beautiful waterfront view of the Potomac River. There, you can take a walk on King Street, full of shops for every type of shopper. The Del Ray area has an artsy scene where you can visit The Birchmere, one of America’s notable music halls. Be sure to catch a bite to eat at one of the many Del Ray restaurants to finish off the day.
Getting There
Travel to the Alexandria, VA Station (ALX), where you’re walking distance or just a short car ride away from Old Town and Del Ray.
