Amtrak Guest Rewards Credit Card

 

Coupons and Passes

  • To redeem your points for an Upgrade Coupon or Station Lounge Pass, sign in to your Amtrak Guest Rewards account, then visit Reward Travel. Scroll down to view options for redeeming travel rewards.

  • To view your coupons and passes, you'll need to sign in to your account. Lounge Passes are found in the "Lounge Access" tab. Upgrade coupons are found under the "My Coupons" tab in your Account Overview.

  • Redeem this coupon for a one-way, one-class upgrade after booking a one-way trip (cannot be used on a round-trip ticket). To apply the upgrade, complete these steps within 12 hours of departure. Or, if you prefer, print your coupon and present it to an Amtrak station agent. See coupon for full terms and conditions.

    On the Amtrak App

    1. Sign in to your Amtrak account.
    2. Locate your ticket on the home screen and tap "Trip Tools," then select "Upgrade."
    3. Tap "Apply" next to the upgrade coupon you'd like to use.
    4. Tap "Confirm" to confirm your selection.
    5. Your upgraded ticket will be instantly added to the app.
       

    On Amtrak.com

    1. Sign in to your Amtrak account.
    2. Click your name at the top of the page and choose "My Trips."
    3. Select your trip under "Upcoming Trips" and click "Details."
    4. Click “Modify Trip.”
    5. Choose the Upgrade coupon and click ‘Confirm.’
    6. Receive your upgraded ticket instantly.
  • Select Plus and Select Executive members have a digital membership card which they can present to agents, along with a same-day ticket, for station lounge entry. They can access their digital member card on the app by tapping  "Member Card." On Amtrak.com, sign in and select "Account Overview". 

    Members who have a single use pass (same-day Amtrak ticket also required), valid for use at one club on one day, can access their pass following these steps: 

    On the Amtrak App

    1. Sign in to your Amtrak account.
    2. Tap "Account" and select "Lounge Access."
    3. Present your Lounge Pass and same-day ticket for entry into the lounge.

    1. Sign in to your Amtrak account.
    2. Click your name at the top of the screen, then click “Lounge Access.”
    3. Present your Lounge Pass and same-day ticket for entry into the lounge.

  • Select Plus and Select Executive members can access station lounges with a same-day ticket. All other members can access lounges with a Single Visit Lounge Pass and same-day ticket. If you would like to redeem your points for a lounge pass, you can do so for 1,500 points. Learn more about station lounges.

  • Coupon is valid for a discount off a one-way ticket or off of ancillary items (e.g. Auto Train priority offloading, bikes, pets, etc). Coupon cannot be applied to travel booked with points. See coupon for full terms and conditions.

    1. Ensure you are booking a one-way trip.
    2. On the “Book” screen, tap “Add” next to “Coupon/Discount Code”.
    3. Select your discount coupon or enter the 14-digit code, then click “Add Discount”.

    1. Ensure you are booking a one-way trip.
    2. Click "Advanced Search”.
    3. Choose your coupon or enter a 'Coupon Code', then click “Done”.
  • Each companion coupon can be used to bring a second person for a discount or for free. Valid for use on a one-way reservation.

    On the Amtrak App

    1. Sign in to your Amtrak Guest Rewards account.
    2. Ensure you are booking a one-way trip.
    3. On the “Book” screen, tap “Add” next to “Coupon/Discount Code”.
    4. Select your companion coupon or enter the code.
    5. Click “Add Discount”.
       

    On Amtrak.com

    1. Sign in to your Amtrak Guest Rewards account.
    2. Ensure you are booking a one-way trip.
    3. Click on “Advanced Search”.
    4. Select your companion coupon from the list under “Coupon Code” or enter the code, then click ”Done”.

 

Earning Points

  • Members earn 2 points per dollar spent on Amtrak travel. Additionally, members earn a 25% point bonus for all Business class travel and a 50% point bonus for Acela First class travel. Members with Tier Status may also receive additional point bonuses on travel. Learn more about points.

  • Allow up to 7 days for points earned from Amtrak travel to post to your account. If points have not posted after 7 days, you have up to 120 days following your travel date to submit a request for missing points form. If you're a new Amtrak Guest Rewards member, you may request points for Amtrak travel taken in the 21 days prior to your enrollment. Complete the form.

  • Earn Amtrak Guest Rewards points in many ways other than Amtrak travel. Points can be earned by shopping special offers from our retail partners, buying and transferring points, obtaining and using an Amtrak Guest Rewards credit card on dining and non-Amtrak travel like rideshare and more.   • Members can buy or receive up to a total of 50,000 points in a calendar year. Select, Select Plus and Select Executive members have no limit on the amount of points they can buy. Members, Select and Select Plus members can also share up to 100,000 points with other members. Select Executive Members have no limit on the amount of points they can share. Learn More

  • No. Amtrak Guest Rewards points are only earned by the Member who travels regardless of who purchases the ticket.

Modify Travel

  • View your upcoming and past trips by logging in and selecting on "Account Overview", then "My Trips."
        

  • Have your Amtrak Guest Rewards member number handy. Find this by signing into your account and clicking your name at the top of the screen.

    Go to “My Trip” (top right corner of the page) and enter your trip details, click “Find Trip.” When you see your trip click “Modify Trip” then click “Add/Update” next to “Add Amtrak Guest Rewards Number.” Enter your member number and select "Add" to update.

    Log into the app and you'll see your upcoming trips on the home screen. If any trip is missing a member number, a prompt to “Add/Update” it will appear below the trip details section. Simply tap “Add/Update” and enter membership number(s). Or click on “Trip Tools” to access the “Add Member Number” function.

  • Yes, you can add a member number to a trip that was booked on your behalf by someone else.

  • Choose which emails you'd like to receive, including Monthly eStatement, Partner Offer Emails, Program Promotion Emails, and Amtrak Guest Rewards Credit Card Emails. Change your communication preferences by logging in, navigating to "Account Overview" and scrolling down to "More about Me."

  • To see promotions that you've registered for and to view available offers, go to your "Account Overview" and select "My Promotions".
