Serving Our Diverse Communities
On Track for Good is Amtrak’s in-kind travel initiative to support non-profit organizations committed to communities across the country, including those that promote diversity and inclusion. This program was developed as a part of our Executive Leadership Team’s commitment to advancing diversity, inclusion and belonging.
On August 26, 2023, Amtrak officially launched On Track for Good in partnership with the Blues Babe Foundation. The Blues Babe Foundation is the brainchild of Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter and poet Jill Scott. The foundation has provided leadership development and academic programming for children, youth and young adults hailing from North Philadelphia with the expectation that it might encourage them and present them with different opportunities.
Amtrak was pleased to offer the first-time experience of a train ride for participating students. With a tour of both the Gray 30th Street Station in Philadelphia and the new Moynihan Train Hall in New York City, the students were in awe of the facilities’ artwork and their excitement was encouraged by the Amtrak frontline staff who helped them navigate the experience.
