After the city gained Capitol Corridor service in 1993, it worked to purchase and restore the historic Southern Pacific depot, which included moving the building across the tracks.

This station is for Amtrak trains and Thruway bus service for connections to Capitol Corridor trains only. Additional Thruway bus connections for San Joaquin trains are available at the Fremont (FRT) Bus Stop.
