Private Rooms and Seating
Coach class features wide, reclining seats with ample legroom and no middle seat. Plus, all Auto Train Coach interiors have been refreshed with new seat cushions and upholstery, carpeting and window curtains. Upgrade your experience with one of four types of First Class private rooms (Roomettes, Bedrooms, Family Rooms and Accessible Bedrooms) that include new bedding, linens, pillows and towels.
Roomette
For customers seeking both privacy and savings in First Class, Roomettes feature two comfortable seats by day transformed to upper and lower beds by night. Each room includes a big picture window, newly upgraded bedding, pillows, towels and linens and access to a restroom and shower down the hall.
All customers in private rooms receive priority boarding, complimentary dinner and hot breakfast, access to the First Class lounge onboard and a dedicated First Class attendant, who will provide turndown service, assist with meals and help with luggage.
Roomette DetailsBedroom
For customers seeking extra comfort and space in First Class, Bedrooms provide twice the space as a Roomette and feature a sofa and separate chair by day transformed into upper and lower beds by night. Vehicle Types
Pack your car like a suitcase. And with our special auto carriers, we can carry a wide variety of vehicle types — including cars, SUVs and motorcycles (dimension and clearance restrictions apply).
Check In
On the day of departure, check-in starts at 11:30 am and closes at 2:30 pm for standard and extended vehicles and 2:00 pm for motorcycles. Exceptions cannot be made, so be sure to plan your arrival to the station accordingly.
Priority Offloading
Speed up your journey with a time-saving upgrade option for Auto Train. Reserve Priority Vehicle Offloading when you're booking and your vehicle will be one of the first 30 offloaded from the train.

Traditional Dining in First Class
Complimentary traditional dining service is provided in the Dining Car for First Class private room customers. Dinner and a hot breakfast are served onboard.

Coach customers can purchase meals, snacks and beverages in the Cross-Country Cafe. Plus, a complimentary continental breakfast is served prior to arrival.

Enjoy free basic WiFi throughout your Auto Train journey — including at the departing station, onboard and upon arrival.
Auto Train duration is 17.5 hours and makes a service stop around midnight in Florence, SC. If a service animal needs to be taken off the train to relieve itself, notify a Conductor and onboard personnel.
