Frederick Douglass Tunnel Program Community Outreach

This section of the Frederick Douglass Tunnel Program (“Program”) website consists of cultural resources mitigation developed in accordance with the Project Programmatic Agreement Among the Federal Railroad Administration, Maryland State Historic Preservation Officer, National Railroad Passenger Corporation and Preservation Maryland Regarding the Baltimore & Potomac Tunnel Project, Baltimore City, Maryland (“PA”). The PA was executed in 2017 as part of the Program’s review under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, as amended.

Throughout the Program planning and construction, Amtrak will maintain this section of the Program website in order to inform the public of steps taken to implement the PA’s mitigation measures.
