Service Adjustments Due to Dual Winter Storms Harlow and Iliana

Delays are expected for services operating along our network. We are closely monitoring severe weather conditions across the country, which may lead to additional cancellations or delays to our services. We are committed to keeping you informed and actively working to minimize potential disruptions. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we navigate these weather challenges together.

For the safety of Amtrak customers and employees, due to forecasted winter weather, the following adjustments have been made with no alternative transportation being offered despite our efforts:

 

Tuesday, February 11

Northeast/Southeast

Amtrak Virginia (operating between Boston, Washington, D.C, and Virginia)

  • Train 171 is canceled between Washington, D.C., and Roanoke, VA.
  • Train 85 is canceled.

Midwest/West 

Empire Builder (operating between Seattle/Portland and Chicago)

  • Trains 8 and 28 are canceled. Borealis service will be available for customers traveling between St. Paul- Minneapolis, MN, and Chicago.

 

Wednesday, February 12

Northeast/Southeast

Northeast Regional (operating between Boston and Washington, D.C) 

  • Trains 119, 130, 112, 131, and 86 are canceled.
  • Train 134 is canceled between Roanoke, VA, and Washington, D.C. 

Midwest/West 

Empire Builder (operating between Seattle/Portland and Chicago)

  • Trains 7 and 27 are canceled. Borealis service will be available for customers traveling between St. Paul- Minneapolis, MN, and Chicago.

Customers with reservations on affected trains will typically be accommodated on trains with similar departure times or another day. Amtrak will waive additional charges for customers looking to change their reservation during the modified schedule by calling our reservation center at 1-800-USA-RAIL.
