Checked Baggage and Ticketing/Waiting Room Hours Changes for Capitol Corridor and San Joaquins Trains in Oakland and Martinez
Effective January 29, 2024Services offered to Capitol Corridor and San Joaquins customers are reduced at Oakland Jack London Square and Martinez stations. Amtrak Coast Starlight and California Zephyr customers are not impacted.
- Unaccompanied minors are not accepted for Capitol Corridor and San Joaquins trains.
- No checked baggage service for San Joaquins.
- Customers wishing to check baggage or book unaccompanied minor travel should utilize the nearby Emeryville station.
- Ticketing hours for Capitol Corridor and San Joaquins customers are reduced to 7:30 am to 5:30 pm at Oakland and 8:30 am to 6:30 pm at Martinez. Cash ticket sales are only available during ticket hours listed above or onboard trains.
- Waiting room hours for all customers are 7:00 am to 9:30 pm at Oakland and 6:30 am to 10:30 pm at Martinez.
- Amtrak will continue to provide special assistance to Capitol Corridor and San Joaquins customers as staffing permits.
