February 25, 2025 6:00 PM

Due to a landslide west of Everett, Washington, host railroad BNSF has implemented a 48-hour travel moratorium on trains traveling between Seattle and Vancouver, BC. All customers traveling on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, will have alternative transportation to reach their destination.

For Wednesday, February 26, 2025:

Customers traveling north on trains 516 (Seattle to Vancouver, BC) and 518 (Portland to Vancouver, BC) are being provided alternate bus transportation from Seattle to Vancouver, BC. to their destination.

Alternate transportation for customers traveling south on trains 517 and 519 are still being finalized and will be posted here when available.

Trains are expected to resume normal operations Thursday, February 27 at 9:30 a.m. PT.

Customers with reservations on trains that are being modified will typically be accommodated on trains with similar departure times or another day. Amtrak will waive additional charges for customers looking to change their reservation during the modified schedule by calling our reservation center at 1-800-USA-RAIL.
